For those who don’t know, I was born and raised in Belize until I was about 5 years old. Side note: if you’re unfamiliar with Belize, it’s located in Central America and known for it’s various cultures and languages.
This is my town, my birthplace, my first home and this blog will give you an inside look into my experience – the family, love, food, traditions and adventures.
Belize Day 1: I was co-captain on a plane and had lobster ceviche on the “secret” island
(It was lobster season in Belize)
Belize Day 2: I got to swim with sharks and snorkel along the barrier reef in San Pedro
Fun fact: Belize has the 2nd largest barrier reef in the world.
Belize Day 3: The drive to Punta Gorda and the stops we made along the way.
Belize Day 4: We hosted a small celebration for 60 students at Forest Home Methodist School. They sang songs with us, recited poems and each child received a backpack and school supplies.
Belize Day 5: Family + Food
Belize Day 6: I LOVE PEINI means I LOVE PUNTA GORDA in Garifuna.

Lastly, if you haven’t been to Belize yet, you HAVE to go. I recommend Hopkins or Caye Caulker first – you’ll get the small town feel with just enough touristy vibes. I hope you enjoy and if you’re down for my Belize 2020 trip, holla at ya girl (:
